Thomas Kalb--Chef de Cuisine

Thomas Kalb--27, Born in Iowa City, Iowa. 

I have Lived in Chicago, IL, Breckenridge, CO, and now of course San Francisco. I have Worked for Lula Cafe , the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group at Flour + Water and Cafe Du Nord, as well as Al's Place.  My favorite foods are Kimchi Pancakes, Chu Chee Curry, Chicago Style Deep Dish, Cremont Cheese and all the ice creams.  

My favorite things on our menu are the Corn Muffin and the House Smoked Clams with Texas Toast. 

I am also obsessed with ducks.

Erik has been bartending in San Francisco since 1993.   He is responsible for Slanted Door Group bar program.

Michael Lazar--Lead Bartender, Whiskey Concierge

Hard Water provides Michael with the perfect platform from which to disseminate years of patiently gathered and organized whiskey knowledge and experience to thirsty guests. The majestic whiskey wall, like some baroque church organ of barrel-aged bliss, is the perfect instrument upon which he can play and improvise endlessly…or at least until the bar closes each night. Program notes take the form of the lovingly detailed whiskey list, flight notes, and the monthly newsletter. Come and catch a performance!
